The successful applicant will lead Teaching and Learning across the school, articulating and committing to a shared educational vision focused on ensuring quality learning outcomes for all students. They will foster positive relationships among students, teachers, and stakeholders.

About the RoleLead the Teaching and Learning to develop, articulate, and commit to a shared educational vision focused on ensuring consistent practices across the school, particularly in moderation, implementation of Version 9 of The Australian Curriculum, and establishing a whole-school approach to pedagogy. A key focus will also be identifying and supporting gifted and talented students who require extension. A strong understanding of curriculum development and commitment to fostering student growth is essential for this role.

As the Head of Department, you will:
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.Set high standards for student and staff performance.Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.A mandatory requirement of this role is: Current full registration, or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
