About the RoleResponsibilities for the Head of Department - Teaching and Learning include, but are not limited to:
Having a strong understanding of policies that impact schooling, especially in relation to curriculum, assessment, and reporting.Leading the implementation of a systematic approach to curriculum delivery.Leading professional development and opportunities for self-reflection for teaching staff.Promoting a culture of collegiality and continuous improvement aligned to our school vision and values.Planning and implementing the Mentoring and Beginning Teachers' program.Leading the organisation and implementation of processes for the delivery of NAPLAN.Engaging in strategic planning and fostering creativity and critical reflection within the school's leadership team.Managing the human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
