The school provides an extensive range of curriculum offerings facilitating high-quality learning aligned with a strong student support program.Established in 1991, William Ross State High School has a reputation for a diverse, innovative curriculum, world-class facilities, dedicated, expert staff, and a supportive environment for student learning.Key Responsibilities:Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes and attendance, ensuring quality learning for all students.Prepare all data returns for the Principal as requested.Provide management and engagement strategies, including induction activities for new arrivals, and advise on specific academic, social, and emotional needs.Monitor students' individual performance and behavior, developing and implementing intervention strategies where necessary.Communicate and work with parents, staff, higher education institutes, and State Schools Division to improve learning outcomes and attendance.Work with the school leadership team, Head of Departments, Year Level Coordinators, Guidance Officers, and teachers regarding student achievement and attendance.Develop and implement community engagement strategies and programs with local organizations and businesses.Liaise with external agencies to support new arrivals and their families, incorporating their holistic needs.Embed socially just practices in daily school life through leadership in relation to student attendance and academic outcomes.Understand the legislation and policies impacting schooling, particularly regarding students and staff.Manage the human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.Interested?
