The Head of Department Student Services at Charleville will focus on supporting the educational outcomes of students and developing quality teaching and learning.
Charleville State School is a school of 130 children with a wide variety of diverse learning needs.
The HOD Student Services will nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and the community to improve student outcomes.
The Department of Education is dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the community and schools we support by treating everyone with respect and dignity.
This starts with recruitment and selection.
About the Role Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Implementation of innovative measures to improve student engagement and learning outcomes.Monitor student performance and behaviour and develop and implement intervention strategies for support.Work with parents, school staff and outside agencies to support improved learning and achievement.Embed socially just practices for whole school implementation and improved attendance and engagement at school.Mandatory and preferred skills and experiences: Current full registration as a teacher in Queensland.Previous experience working with diverse and challenging students in a support capacity would be an advantage.Interested?
