About Forest Lake State High SchoolForest Lake State High School provides a first-class education for over 1600 students through years 7-12. Our graduates are educated and empowered to become successful global citizens. Our school comprises a junior secondary school (years 7, 8 and 9) and a senior secondary school (years 10, 11 and 12).
About the RoleResponsibilities will include:
Working with the second Junior Secondary Engagement HOD to support and lead initiatives that enhance the Engagement, Belonging, Wellbeing and Behaviour Support of every student across years 7-9.Proactively lead the work to connect students with the Support Team to provide support and intervention with students who are experiencing significant barriers in accessing their learning.Support the Implementation of Year Level Events in partnership with the Year Level Coordinator/Student Leadership Coordinator.Promote positive education to embed practices that support every student in their education.Uphold the school values and expectations through strong leadership skills.Liaise with parents, teachers and support staff of junior secondary (7-9) students.Provide leadership and guidance for the implementation of innovative measures aimed at improving student learning outcomes.Quality assure the monitoring of students' individual performance and develop intervention strategies.Work with the school leadership team and teachers to utilize tools related to student engagement, achievement and attendance.Develop and implement community engagement strategies and programs.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
