About the RoleThe Department of Education is seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Head of Department to lead the Science Faculty and drive positive student learning outcomes. As a key member of the school's leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a shared educational vision that focuses on providing high-quality learning experiences for all students.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the Science Faculty to develop and articulate a shared educational vision that prioritizes student learning and achievement.Embed socially just practices in daily school life, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.Set high standards for student and staff performance, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in education and science teaching.Form partnerships with students, parents, and the community to promote student learning and well-being.Develop and implement strategic plans to drive student learning outcomes and improve faculty performance.Requirements: Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading a faculty or department.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and the community.Passion for education and a commitment to promoting student learning and achievement.Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
