Heritage College (Officer Campus) – Officer VIC
Heritage College is seeking an enthusiastic Head of Department of Physical Education, VCE Physical Education and Junior HPE Teacher to join the supportive secondary team. This is a permanent and full-time position open to graduates. It commences Term 1 2025.
The successful candidate will demonstrate that they: Plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes Use critical reflection to improve the knowledge, learning and skills of students Use multiple sources of feedback on their classroom practice to inform their professional learning goals Show a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning within the school and the wider Seventh-day Adventist school system Can support and actively promote, and not undermine, the Christian-based values and ethos of the College based on the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Have the capacity to teach the Australian curriculum in the context of the College's Christian-based ethos Can plan for and lead daily Christian-based class devotions to students The College offers the following benefits to interested applicants: Peaceful rural location Free on-site parking Genuinely friendly and supportive staff Close-knit school community Multicultural and diverse student body Opportunities for career development and growth Lower student-teacher ratios Strong early career teacher support Expanding and growing school Employee Assistance Program Competitive salary for classroom teachers that is above the Victorian Government Schools Agreement Requirements of the role: Bachelor of Education VIT Registered Teacher The salary range is $78-116k based on years of experience.
