Salary: MP Year 1-9 $336,466 - $427,886 p.a. pro rata or $644.98 - $820.23 per session (inclusive of base salary and applicable allowances)

The Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospital Group is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced person to the role of Head of Department Perioperative Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine.
This is a fixed term full time appointment for 5 years, with the possibility of extension(s). Job share may be considered.
This role provides clinical leadership to ensure appropriate, safe, quality patient care that is in line with the National Safety and Quality in Health Service and other Professional Standards, and relevant WA Health and SMHS performance standards and targets.
The successful candidate will be required to:
Promote personalised, timely and efficient patient careMotivate and mentor all levels of medical staff and ensures junior medical staff members are appropriately educated, supported, monitored and supervisedManage the performance of Consultants, Senior Medical Practitioners and FellowsEnsure the performance of Junior Medical Staff is appropriately managedPromote and lead case reviews, benchmarking, audit, education, research and innovationCommit to undertake the duties of the role in accordance with the WA Health Code of Conduct, the SMHS vision of "Excellent health care, every time" and values of Care (Kaaradj), Integrity (Ngwidam), Respect (Kaaratj), Excellence (Beli-beli) and Teamwork (Yaka-dandjoo). Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
