Head of Department - Industrial Design & Technology - Kedron State High SchoolAbout the Department of EducationThe Department of Education is dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the community and schools we support by treating everyone with respect and dignity.About the SchoolAt Kedron State High School, we believe in optimising wellbeing and learning, whilst driving the constant pursuit of academic excellence.Our school culture is driven by our motto 'To Strive is to Shine' which compels all students and staff to do their best in all school endeavours.About the RoleThe successful applicant will lead the Industrial Technology and Design (ITD) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) Faculties to plan, implement and review curriculum and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning programs to enhance student learning outcomes.The applicant should have a thorough knowledge of both ITD and VET programs and would continue to drive the well-established and exciting VET pathways and programs at Kedron and have the responsibility as the RTO manager.Applicants will have the capacity for strong faculty leadership with a focus on high impact professional learning that inspires and builds the capacity of teachers with a diverse range of skills and experiences.You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks :Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.Embed socially just practices in daily school life.Set high standards for student and staff performance.Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.Interested?
