About the RoleAs the Head of Department (Secondary) - Inclusion Support, you will play a leading role in supporting students with a disability so that every young person has equal opportunity.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.Assist the school in identifying areas where inclusive practices can be strengthened and embedded in all aspects of school culture, policies, and practices.Understand and support the application of the Inclusive Education Policy Statement and Disability Standards for Education.Focus on educational leadership and provide resources and support to address the needs of all students.Develop positive relationships between students, teachers, and the community.Act as an advocate for inclusive education.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
