The applicant will need to display a strong commitment to our school's partnership with Real Schools and the implementation of the Resilience Project to build the emotional intelligence of students.About the Role This Head of Department position will be suited to an energetic and future-focused individual who has the ability to lead the Faculty to engender excitement and passion in teachers to deliver V9 of the Australian Curriculum and senior Modern History, Legal Studies, and Business in the Humanities subjects. The preferred candidate will have a strong student-focused approach and the ability to build strong professional relationships with students, teachers, parents, and the community. They will lead their faculty to co-design and deliver high-quality pedagogy and learning experiences.As the Head of Department - Humanities, you will:Lead curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiativesParticipate in delivering the vision of State Schools DivisionDevelop the quality of teaching and learningLead staff through cycles of systematic curriculum deliverySet high standards for student and staff performanceNurture positive relationships between students, teachers, and stakeholdersActively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional developmentPlease refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
