Location:We seek an experienced and enthusiastic Staff Specialist passionate about practicing holistic general medicine, leading and mentoring medical staff, and contributing to quality improvement in a growing general medicine department.
About Us:The Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital and major referral centre, collaborating with the University of Tasmania and other institutions to deliver excellence in healthcare.
Responsibilities:Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in General and Acute Medicine.Contribute to high-quality inpatient and outpatient care for public and private patients.Participate in the Department of General Medicine's afterhours and weekend roster.Provide professional leadership to medical, nursing, and allied health staff.Engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as trainee and IMG supervision.Participate in research and quality improvement activities.Support service development in the Department of General Medicine.Benefits:Extensive salary packaging options with excellent leave benefits.Mentoring and support within an inclusive team.Diverse specialist career pathways and professional development.Collaborative relationships across multiple disciplines.Generous relocation support packages and accommodation support.Employer visa sponsorship for overseas applicants.Appointment Details:Fixed term, part-time day work (with on-call), working up to 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 3 years.
