It also serves as a valuable stepping stone for aspiring leaders with experience in teaching English across 7-12, to launch their careers, gain leadership experience, and contribute meaningfully to the profession.Position Overview: As Head of Department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of our students. Working alongside an adaptable team and under the guidance of our visionary leadership team, you will lead by example, setting high standards and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. You will be given a proportionate amount of time off class for this leadership role and will also have a teaching load. This will be based upon the school's capacity to manage staff loads.Key Responsibilities:Curriculum and Administrative Leadership: Develop and implement a forward-thinking curriculum that meets the needs of our diverse learners.Instructional Leadership: Support and mentor teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.Staff Development: Nurture professional growth through ongoing training and development initiatives.Student Support: Ensure a nurturing environment where every learner can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Qualifications:Education: Master's degree in Education or a related field (required).Experience: Leadership experience in an educational setting, ideally as a Head of Department or in a similar role.
