Harrisdale SHS is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to assume the position of Head of Learning Area – English.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the leadership and management of the English Learning Area, driving a culture of excellence in teaching and learning.
Key responsibilities include leading curriculum development, coordinating preparation for The National Assessment Program (NAPLAN) and Online Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (OLNA), and facilitating the performance management and development of staff through classroom observations and mentoring.
The role also involves managing the English Learning Area's operational plan, budget, and resources, as well as coordinating events such as excursions, incursions, and school-wide presentations.
The successful applicant will ideally have strong leadership skills, the ability to foster a collaborative and supportive team culture, and a commitment to continuous professional learning.
