About the Role This position offers an exciting opportunity to support teachers to plan for, enact and monitor the implementation of an effective whole school approach to pedagogy at Berserker Street State School in Rockhampton.
The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the science of learning and evidence-based pedagogical practices suitable for teaching prep to year six students. They should be able to work with individual teachers within classrooms, as well as deliver cohort and staff professional learning sessions aligned to DoE CARF requirements and the Australian Curriculum.
The successful candidate should have:
A strong knowledge of how to differentiate to support diverse learners and be a skilled and experienced teacher with recent classroom experience. Knowledge of 'Teach Like A Champion' strategies and a bank of transferable high yield literacy and numeracy instructional routines would be beneficial to the role. Experience working in settings with students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds would also be advantageous. Berserker Street State School has an experienced HOD C, and you would be joining this HOD C, the leadership team, and the teaching team within the school to enact engaging curriculum experiences for learners.
