It is a leading school in region and has achieved great success in the academic, cultural, sporting and vocational fields.This is a rare opportunity for an experienced teacher and educational leader to:Make a difference leading Agriculture education across the CollegeLead and develop a talented teaching teamManage departmental operations including the writing and evaluation of Science curriculumKey Responsibilities:Design and implement curriculum programs aligned with the School's Learning Framework.Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and learning.Establish and review students' learning goals and adapt curriculum programs accordingly.Engage in continuous reflection on teaching practices and actively participate in the School's Personal Learning Programme.Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate student activities and share teaching insights.Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and learning outcomes.Demonstrate professionalism and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.Contribute to the School and wider community through active involvement in co-curricular activities.Maintain accurate records and meet deadlines with precision.Required:Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.Completion of Safeguarding Children Checks.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in classroom behaviour management techniques.Ability to positively influence others and react effectively in challenging situations.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships easily.If you possess a passion for agricultural education, leadership experience, and the skills outlined above, we invite you to apply for the Head of Agriculture Department position.
