As the company continues to grow, this role will evolve and help underpin the business transformation.
You'll lead the data strategy and execution, managing and transforming legacy data infrastructure into a scalable, cloud-native, modern data platform.
You'll have a lot of influence and autonomy, and with that the expectation is that you own it and drive it and be well supported.
The role will be heavily business-facing and will be highly regarded internally.
Your insights will be valued and you'll work closely with senior level executive stakeholders to help drive decision making.
You will lead and build a small team, and technically will lead a complete data modernisation for the organisation, moving the company from an on-premise legacy SQL 2017 Enterprise Data Warehouse to a modern, scalable Azure data platform that will be a central source of truth.
In doing so, the cloud platform will act as a Lakehouse that will enable artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, better business intelligence and predictive analytics.

Your Background & Experience Strong business acumen, stakeholder management and communication skills.
These are the most important attributes of this role;Proven experience and business exposure in a similar role across Data Leadership;You'll be self-driven and curious, and push the boundaries of getting things done at pace and at scale;Experience leading or mentoring small teams;Strong hands-on technical experience;Experience in the Azure data stack (Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL DW, Azure Data / Delta Lake, Azure Analysis Services) and Databricks highly advantageous;Experience working in an agile environment;Friendly, dynamic personality with a growth mindset for continuous learning and improvement.
