About the Role
Reporting to the Information Technology Manager the core responsibilities include:
Oversee the effective delivery of the Cyber Security Strategy.
Coordinate risk assessments and security testing programs in partnership with the IT Infrastructure team.
Manage security incident response and recovery programs, ensuring they align with best practices, policies, and controls.
Lead the cybersecurity education program across Mornington Peninsula Shire.
About You
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Extensive understanding of risk management frameworks (NIST, ISO27001, ASD8) and the ability to assess and prioritize cybersecurity risks.
Experience with incident response plan development and execution, as well as business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly regarded.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships.
