As our new Head of Customer Segments , you will be a pivotal member of our Marketing Leadership team, spearheading the development and execution of strategies that drive the success of our product categories across our core Customer Segments. Your role will involve overseeing category strategies, managing product lifecycles, and ensuring alignment with our overall business objectives. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, including Sales, Supply Chain & Innovation, and Finance, to maximise sales, profitability, and market share. About the role Based at our Corporate Head Office in North Sydney, this is a key role which reports directly to the General Manager, Marketing. This is a high-profile role, and some of your core responsibilities will include: Developing and executing segment strategies that align with GWA's overarching business goals. Conducting comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and assessments of the competitive landscape. Establishing both short-term and long-term plans for category growth and development. Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of senior managers and other members of our Customer Segments team. Overseeing the entire product lifecycle from concept through to discontinuation for all categories, including ensuring timely and successful product launches in collaboration with product development, supply chain, and sales teams. Collaboration with our marketing, sales, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure cohesive execution of segment and category strategies. Providing strategic direction and insights to support overall business initiatives, and leading or participating in cross-functional projects and initiatives. Utilising customer insights and market research to inform category strategies and decisions. Collaborating with our customer marketing and brand engagement teams to develop and oversee marketing campaigns and promotions, and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities and adjust strategies as needed. Oversee capital investment towards product development, ensuring forecasted ROI. Be the marketing champion for regional execution of activities, ensuring alignment with segments and leveraging offerings to deliver impactful customer experiences. Deliver best-in-class customer and product/brand reviews and recommendations to enhance the overall Customer Experience. About you As a strategic leader with a passion for driving category performance, you will have a track record of success in a fast-paced environment as well as: 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within category management. Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing successful segment and category growth strategies. Extensive experience in category management, including new product development and lifecycle management. Proven track record in leading customer channel market strategies and activating group brand strategies in local market channels. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, opportunities, and insights from data. Strong problem-solving abilities and a forward-thinking approach. Strategic and commercially mindset with the ability to influence at all levels. Knowledge of regulations regarding customer information usage. Experience working with suppliers and customers to build and execute plans. Background in working with market-leading B2 B brands and developing successful programs and campaigns. Previous experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is desirable, as is a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Marketing/Sales) or Business; Postgraduate studies in Marketing/Business preferred.
