Job Description We are seeking a proactive Head of Enterprise Compliance to shape, lead, and oversee the compliance framework.
This role would join at a pivotal time, designing and implementing the systems and processes necessary to ensure compliance across all aspects of operations.
As this is a newly created role, you will need to navigate ambiguity, work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and provide strategic advice to leadership on regulatory requirements, risks, and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise compliance framework tailored to business needs and regulatory obligations.Monitor, interpret, and advise on emerging laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable to our operations.Establish policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.Lead compliance risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, fostering positive relationships and ensuring timely responses to inquiries.Provide training and guidance to staff at all levels to promote a culture of compliance and ethical behaviour.Collaborate with leadership, assurance, risk, and product teams to integrate compliance considerations into strategic decision-making.Build and manage a compliance team as demand and regulatory demands evolve.The Successful Applicant Proven experience in a senior compliance or regulatory role, ideally within a new or evolving regulatory environment.Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, risk management, and governance principles.Ability to navigate ambiguity and design systems and processes from the ground up.Strong background in risk management, regulatory compliance, and aligning with Australian regulatory standards.Proven ability to establish and maintain compliance frameworks and manage remediation actions.Leadership experience with a track record of upskilling teams and influencing stakeholders.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and challenge senior leaders.Strategic mindset with the ability to adapt in rapidly changing environments.NICE TO HAVES: Demonstrable experience of working in firms undergoing change and transformation programmes.Big 4 or Consultancy Risk and Compliance experience preferred.Track record of managing teams.Knowledge of companies where Data and digital products and services are a major asset.What's on Offer Benefits:
Salary up to $220,000 + super3-4 days on-site with flexibility to manage care-giver responsibilities accordingly.
The time in the office is not tracked, but as a manager you need to be present for your team, and initially the more you are in, the better so you can build relationships with your colleagues and stakeholders.Central office location - easily accessible on the city loop or 10-minute walk from Flinders.Please note the bonus scheme is currently under review and is expected to increase within the first 12 months of employment.
