Rex Minerals is an Australian mining company dedicated to the development of its flagship A$1.0B Copper-Gold Hillside Project located on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia.
They are seeking to appoint a Head of Commercial to oversee all commercial aspects of this greenfield project as it progresses into the construction phase.
About the role:
Reporting to the Chief Executive – South Australia and acting as an integral part of the leadership team, the role will support the project capability by successfully delivering the commercial strategy plan for both the development of the project and its future operations.
This Head of Commercial will attract, build and lead an experienced team to effectively manage large and complex contracts, proactively manage risks and opportunities and positively engage with various stakeholders.
Experience required: A bachelor's degree in commerce, business, finance, engineering or a related field, along with a master's degree or related designation.15+ years' experience at a senior commercial level in a mining, infrastructure and processing plan commercial environment including operations and capital projects.Proven track record of managing commercial operations, including contract negotiation, business development, and sales in the mining or resource industry.Demonstrated expertise in managing financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and reviewing and approving financial reports, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans to achieve commercial objectives.Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and leading diverse teams.Advanced MS Office skills and proficient knowledge of computerized accounting systems.
