What's the opportunity? The Head of Commercial Finance is a senior leadership role responsible for elevating and leading the Commercial Finance capability and team. This role will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring financial stability, and fostering growth.
This role is accountable for: Setting the guardrails and supporting the business to drive financial performance. Ensuring the organisation operates with financial coherence and senior leaders and stakeholders have a transparent view of how the business is performing, giving clarity on the financial impact of their strategic, operational and trading decisions. Developing and leading a strategic and proactive value-adding business partner function supporting the executive and senior leadership teams. Leading and mentoring the team fostering professional growth, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvement to create a high performing team. Supporting the CFO in commercial negotiations on major customer contracts, enterprise partnerships, and vendor. Supporting the business in commercial decision making on strategic execution, i.e., buy, build vs partner. To be considered for this role you will have: Extensive experience in a senior leadership role in commercial finance, preferably with global experience. Significant experience in collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders in the health sector across a range of objectives within the organisation, and an ability to inform decisions which impact the achievement of company objectives and financial performance. Significant experience in developing a high performing team and developing others, sharing knowledge and expertise and a strong track record in supporting a business with a growth agenda, preferably globally, undergoing simultaneous change in structures, ways of working, and systems. Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills and demonstrated experience and gravitas in presenting to senior leadership and external stakeholders (including at Board level). Exemplary stakeholder management skills, including the ability to have critical conversations, navigating competing viewpoints to provide critical insights to the business. High standards of professional conduct, ethics, and integrity, with a continuous improvement mindset and adaptability to changing environments. M & A experience will be highly regarded.
