If you have a passion for data analytics, collections credit strategy, and debt recovery management, this could be the perfect role for you!The role:The Head of Collections Risk Strategy for the Pay business unit is responsible for driving the financial health of the Credit Cards portfolios through effective delinquency and debt recovery strategy management, while also shaping industry thought leadership and risk management practices.As a subject matter expert on collections for Pay products & services, you'll be accountable for our early to late-stage delinquency and loss performance through end-to-end arrears risk management while working closely with the operations and technology teams to ensure efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and strict adherence to regulatory guidelines.In addition, you'll be a key voice in shaping the future roadmap of collections risk management for the Pay business unit, fostering a culture of innovation and proactive risk mitigation.In this role, you'll:Provide thought leadership in the collections space and arrears management strategy for the business unit.Develop a comprehensive three-year strategy with an annual roadmap and be responsible for annual planning and quarterly business reviews.Lead a high-performing team of two analysts in designing, implementing, and monitoring the Pay BU's credit risk strategy, aligning it with the business' Path to Full Potential strategy.Analyse delinquency data and performance trends to identify ongoing opportunities for strategy optimisations and operational efficiencies.Manage and share key data insights on delinquency and loss performance against target.Foster strong collaboration with Collections Operations and Hardship teams to deliver seamless and effective execution of collections strategy, operational effectiveness of debt and customer management.Be responsible for debt sale management, including optimising our debt sale strategy, maintaining debt sale governance, and ensuring all forward flow and inventory tenders are completed.Manage key strategic relationships with key advisory/debt management partners.Collaborate with key internal stakeholders on financial reporting, forecast, and budget planning.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies, maintaining high ethical standards in all collection activities.Perform any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time.Skills & Experience:Solid background in designing and implementing a data-driven credit risk strategy within the financial services industry for consumer credit portfolios.Strong understanding of delinquency risk management, regulations, and compliance requirements.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.Bachelor's degree in a numeric discipline or related field.Experience working with or knowledge of relevant collections industry associations is preferred.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and management.Strong problem-solving abilities to identify issues and develop effective solutions.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and industry trends.Sometimes the best candidates don't have 100% of what is listed above, but if you have most and are confident you'd be a good fit, we'd love to hear from you!We're Latitude, partners in money.Successful applicants will be required to complete a background check (including criminal history and bankruptcy check) prior to commencement of employment.Only open to Australian or New Zealand Permanent Residents or Citizens.Welcome to Latitude Financial Services.
