The Role
To further develop the Alpha Data offering in the Asia Pacific region, we are seeking a talented and creative problem solver who will assume end-to-end responsibility for the strategic rollout of the Alpha Data product.
Your investment data platform expertise, coupled with a deep knowledge of data management functions and experience in front to back investment servicing, will allow you to make the best decisions for Clients and Alpha Product teams alike.
Reporting to the Head of Alpha APAC, this role exists to optimize the mobilization of Alpha Data in the region, balancing delivery objectives of all Alpha Clients with the establishment of core Alpha Data capabilities.
In this role, you will be the face of the Alpha Data organization, providing thought leadership to clients during the sales, due diligence and entire implementation journey.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage the Alpha Data product roadmap and experience for the Asia Pacific region.Effectively prioritize the build and delivery of Alpha Data capability, incorporating global product development with specific data requirements of Clients in the region.Consult with Clients to understand their data strategy, business objectives, operating model needs and challenges.
Provide subject matter expertise and industry experience to lead Alpha Data solution discussions.Identify opportunities for the activation of new Alpha Data products and services.
Define business requirements and solution designs, and manage product development through the end-to-end lifecycle.Drive detailed design workshops with both internal and external stakeholders.Present and demonstrate capabilities of the Alpha Data Platform and supporting Data Services, articulating the core value proposition to new and existing Clients.Partner with the Sales & Client Solutions team to support business development activities and product growth.Be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of Alpha Data solutions for all clients in the region.Lead the training and development of Alpha Data competencies within relevant State Street teams.Support operational role definition, recruitment processes and onboarding for core Alpha Data team members.Track longer-term industry trends and competitor activity to inform product optimization activities.Participate in industry events, conferences and advisory boards to help build the Alpha brand. Professional Qualities: Proven experience in senior leadership roles within Investment Data Management, Data/Information Architecture or Data Product Ownership.Demonstrated experience in the design, delivery and implementation of data solutions within the investment management industry.Strong foundation of data management concepts and associated operational services, for example, Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Master Data Management, Metadata Management.Ability to interact with external and internal stakeholders - specifically CIO, CRO, CTO roles and their direct reports.Ability to translate business requirements into detailed technical requirements and vice versa.Experience with front-to-back investment servicing and operations functions is preferred.Knowledge of front and middle office technology is an advantage.
