This organisation forms part of a Global Company and offers exciting career prospects.ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLEYou'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all mechanical and electrical systems at the mill, identifying preventative maintenance needs, and contributing to continuous improvement projects.Prioritise safety and adherence to WHS policies and procedures.Ensure maximum uptime and efficiency of mill mechanical and electrical systems.Plan and execute a proactive maintenance schedule.Oversee the completion of planned, unplanned, and requested maintenance tasks.Lead, develop, and manage the fitter team at the mill.Conduct thorough fault-finding analysis and resolve maintenance issues promptly to minimise production impact.Collaborate with management, supervisors, and operators to resolve breakdowns effectively.Ensure all work meets industry standards, legislation, and company procedures, maintaining accurate documentation.ABOUT YOU• You are dynamic, motivated and passionate about your role and your team.• Hold a Mechanical Fitting Trade qualification.• Demonstrated experience in managing teams.• Strong knowledge of mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication, and electrical systems.• Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and understanding of PLC operation (desirable).• Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, plans, and specifications.• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.• Effective time management and organisational abilities.• Capable of multitasking and prioritising tasks to minimise downtime.
