John Paul College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Football Head Coach to inspire and guide our athletes to reach their full potential in 2025!
About the Role
We're seeking a dedicated Football Head Coach to lead our Football Program. This role involves leading our Firsts teams during school and tournament competition, and oversight of skill-based Academy training for students in Years 4 to 12, ensuring a seamless progression throughout the program.
Key Responsibilities
Football Academy Lead the Football Academy for Primary, Junior, Intermediate and Senior squads Work closely with the Football Co-ordinator and Head of Sport and Activities to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Academy program Create, implement and embed a high quality developmental and sequential Football Academy program to cater for the needs of all players Work closely with the High-Performance Co-ordinator to embed core fitness training and testing into the Academy program First XI Coach Trial and prepare the boys' and girls' TAS and Junior TAS squads for both pre-season and in-season training and matches Coach the First XI teams during their respective TAS seasons Oversee appropriate preparation of these squads in all areas of skill development including game awareness, tactics, strategy, and leadership Attend Saturday TAS fixtures and pre-season trial matches Liaise with the Football Coordinator/Head of Sport and Activities to determine squad selections and processes for all Queensland and Australian Schools Cup tournaments Prepare and coach a Firsts team during the UhlSport tournament season Support the Football Co-ordinator with the planning of competition, tournaments, and interstate and overseas football tours Coach and Program Management Support the coaching development of all TAS, Junior TAS, club and tournament coaches, including coach recruitment, selection management and mentoring Collaborate with the Football Co-ordinator for required College processes and events If you're passionate about football and ready to coach and lead our program, apply now!

Holding current relevant qualifications in football coaching A current paid blue card (working with children check) Current first aid certificate Demonstration of exceptional coaching expertise including significant recent experience in effective communication and training techniques A genuine enthusiasm for mentoring and developing young athletes and other football coaches Excellent organisation, planning and attention to detail abilities A commitment to safety and compliance A+ Team player with collaboration, building positive relationships with colleagues and students at the heart of all you do And above all - a passion for Football!
