Rackley Swimming, part of City Venue Management, is seeking a Head Coach with the necessary experience and skills to establish a world-class school-based squad program that caters to swimmers of all abilities, both at school and club competition levels.

This full-time position will be based at Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie) in East Brisbane, Queensland.
The Facility features a 6-lane, 50-metre pool, an 8-lane, 25-metre pool, and an indoor teaching pool.
The program includes swimmers from the junior squad up to national representative levels and a robust school program that is part of the GPS competition.

About Rackley Swimming & City Venue Management:
City Venue Management (CVM) is a facility management company that operates aquatic centres, swim schools, coaching programs, and health clubs from the Gold Coast to the Sunshine Coast and in Toowoomba and New South Wales.
Rackley Swimming currently operates 37 swim schools across Queensland and New South Wales.
We run competitive Squad Programs across 15 locations in Qld and focus on supporting coaches in developing world-class training environments.
We are guided by three fundamental principles: coach-driven excellence, a focus on the athlete's journey, and strong community support, all working to enhance the swimmer's experience and drive program success.

About The Role:
The Head Coach will lead the coaching team and programs and work closely with the Swim School/Facility Manager and the School's key aquatics staff to deliver a comprehensive program to school and club swimmers.
Key responsibilities include:
Form and maintain strong relationships with the school, community, parents, and children within the centre.
This role serves as a vital link between the school and aquatic programs.
Manage and grow the Swimming Program at the centre, including program development, budget oversight, and staff management.
Drive the Churchie GPS swimming program by increasing participation and performance.
Oversee all Churchie GPS team selections, including talent identification, swimming squad progressions, and sequential skill development across age groups.
Develop and oversee comprehensive squad training programs for swimmers of all ages and skill levels, from junior levels to state and national competitions.
Mentor and manage the coaching team to ensure consistent, high-quality coaching across all programs.
Actively promote club participation and encourage swimmer engagement in club activities.
Support and encourage members to compete in regional, state, and national competitions.
Attend these meets to support the athletes Collaborate closely with head coaches from other squad sites and the management team across CVM.
Liaise with and assist other Sporting Directors and GPS support staff in managing athletes' training loads and co-curricular commitments.
About You:
You'll be integral to fostering a vibrant, can-do culture consistent with CVM's Purpose, Truths and Leadership Fundamentals.
We seek a highly motivated and experienced Head Coach to lead and inspire our swimming program.
The ideal candidate will be a proven leader passionate about developing young athletes.
This individual must demonstrate:
Exceptional Leadership and Relationship Building: A proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with swimmers, parents, school staff, and the wider community.
This includes effective communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
As the pool is part of a school facility, managing and building strong relationships with School stakeholders is critical to success.
Program Development and Management: A strong track record of developing and implementing comprehensive swimming programs for athletes of all skill levels, from junior to national.
Experience with budget management and resource allocation is essential.
Coaching Expertise: A deep understanding of contemporary swimming techniques, training methodologies, and athlete development pathways.
Relevant coaching certifications (SCTA Advanced Level) are required.
Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to effectively lead and mentor a coaching team, foster a collaborative environment, and work closely with other sporting directors, risk and compliance team and support staff.
Commitment to Excellence: A passion for achieving high performance and creating a positive and supportive training environment for all athletes.
Commercial Skills: Proven ability to manage and allocate resources effectively, with a strong understanding of budget management and financial reporting.
Demonstrates proficiency in using software for communication, reporting, and financial management.
Aquatics Coaching Professional Development: Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and a proactive approach to seeking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of aquatics coaching.
The qualifications required for this role are:
SCTA - Advanced level Coaching accreditation Current Blue Card Current First Aid, CPR and Pool Lifeguard Willing to undergo a National Police Check Qualifications in Strength and Conditioning desirable To apply, please attach a cover letter and resume to your online application.
