You will be based in regional NSW working on our remote mine site village
14 days on 7 days off, salary of $110,000 Full time permanent employment FIFO from Sydney / Drive In Drive out for locals The Position: Work collaboratively with a team of Chefs, Kitchen Utilities and Dining Room employees. Manage buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast, Crib, Lunch, and / or Dinner and Desserts Ensure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices and food handling procedures. Ensure all catering controls are in place, and wastage is kept to a minimum. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards. Managing catering team performance and employee development Enhance workplace culture – display high levels of customer service, contribute ideas & be flexible to meet the needs of the business. The Person: Cert III in Commercial Cookery Minimum Must be reliable, strong & capable of leading a team Demonstrated experience at a Head Chef level. Experience within bulk catering environments Remote experience preferred. Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations Experience in menu writing, stock control, budgets, rostering, staff mentoring, training &liaising with the client.
