You will be working on our remote mine site villages based in Regional NSW.
14 days on 7 days off, salary of $110,000 Full time permanent employment FIFO from Sydney/Brisbane or Drive In Drive out for locals The Position: Manage and lead a team of Chefs, Kitchen Utilities and Dining Room employees Responsible for cooking and preparing buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast, Crib, Dinner and Desserts Ensure OH&S compliance, adhering to safe work practices and food handling procedures. Ensure all catering controls are in place, and wastage is kept to a minimum. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control and cleanliness in accordance with Compass standards. Managing catering team performance and employee development Enhance workplace culture – display high levels of customer service, contribute ideas & be flexible to meet the needs of the business. The Person: Cert III in Commercial Cookery Minimum You will be fully on the tools and leading the kitchen team Demonstrated experience at a senior level Experience within bulk catering environments Remote / FIFO experience preferred Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures and operations Experience in menu writing, stock control, budgets, rostering, staff mentoring, training & liaising with the client.
