We are currently seeking a Head Chef to lead our 1 hatted restaurant Sydney Common.
The Head Chef at Sydney Common leads all culinary operations while ensuring exceptional food quality and maintaining the restaurant's award-winning standards.
This role focuses on menu development centered around locally sourced and sustainable ingredients with a strong emphasis on wood-fired cooking using the Josper oven and grill.
Key Responsibilities: Managing kitchen staffDriving culinary innovationFostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvementOverseeing all financial aspects of the kitchen, including food cost control, budgeting, forecasting, supplier negotiations, and inventory managementCollaborating with the hotel's F&B management team to enhance the dining experience, support banquets and events, and align with the overall F&B strategySuccess in this role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, creativity, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences that reflect the dynamic identity of Sydney Common.
