We invite you to be a part of something special at the iconic Melbourne Olympic Park building Legendary Experiences.
Get ready to score big because we've just clinched the contract for this iconic location, and the excitement is palpable! As we gear up for this game-changing project, we're on the lookout for talented individuals within our ranks to step up and take on both culinary and customer-facing roles that will shape the future of sports and entertainment.
THE POSITION

Manage large-scale production for catering, events, and multiple outlets, focusing on efficiency, and maintaining quality
Prepare and submit reports to Executive Chef and Operational Team
Manage and Mentor large team of chefs
Working with a large culinary team to create food for the whole Melbourne Olympic Park precinct
Play a key role in the execution of the Australian Open 2025
Developand execute weekly rosters and work schedules to ensure optimal staffing levels aligned with business demands
Develop menus and meal plans catering to dietary and cultural requirements
Implement catering control procedures (portion control, stock control, food storage)
Cost menus to meet enterprise budgetary constraints

THE PERSON

Trade qualified chef
Minimum of four (4) years of documented work experience with references demonstrating expertise and experience
Proven track record in successfully leading and managing teams within a fast-paced hospitality environment
Previous menu and nutrition planning
A good understanding of operating a catering operation within strict budgetary constraints
Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional demeanour
Excellent time management and organisational skills, with a focus on optimising efficiency and productivity
Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining operational excellence
Strong presentation and communication skills in English, adept at conveying directives and fostering teamwork
Availability for flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
