Applicants are sought for full-time employment as a Head Chef. This role consists of managing the safe production of all food and beverage items for the provision of catering services in our acute and residential aged care services at Beechworth Health Service.
What You'll Bring: You're a reliable, experienced Chef, ideally with experience in Aged Care or similar, with a can-do attitude and compassionate nature.
To Thrive in this role, you will have: Minimum 4 years food service or aged care or restaurant experience Accreditation in a recognised Food Safety and Occupational Hygiene course Previous experience managing kitchen/pantry staff; including day-to-day supervision and rostering Previous experience managing contracts, ordering, and stock control for a large commercial kitchen Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment Satisfactory National Police Check NDIS Workers Screening Check Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status Previous experience as a Head Chef in a health service or residential aged care facility Experience with Chefmax menu system or similar menu management software First Aid certificate Beechworth Health Service (BHS) is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce and follows Equal Employment Opportunity Principles. Employment conditions and remuneration are as prescribed in the relevant award (dependent upon qualification) and current Enterprise Agreement.
