Moore HR Partners are partnering with a community-focused Aged Care provider, who are dedicated to enriching the lives of their residents through exceptional care and culinary experiences, to recruit a qualified Head Chef. Our client prides themselves on their commitment to delivering high quality, nutritious meals which are tailored to meet the diverse dietary needs of the residents.We're looking for a skilled & passionate Head Chef to join the team. In return, you will receive a supportive working environment with a genuine focus on work-life balance, salary sacrifice options and other key benefits!The role:As the Head Chef, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing our clients' kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. You will lead the preparation of nutritious meals for the residents, whilst also mentoring a team of junior chefs to achieve excellent results.Your key responsibilities will also include, however aren't limited to:Leading the kitchen team to prepare and deliver meals which meet the residents' requirementsDeveloping menus which are nutritious and appealing, considering the dietary preferences and requirements of residentsFostering a culture of growth and development across the entire kitchen teamMaintaining inventory levels, managing the kitchen budget and driving purchasing strategiesUpholding strict hygiene and food safety standards, ensuring all relevant health and safety regulations are adhered to at all timesThe ideal candidate:The successful candidate will demonstrate proven experience as a Head Chef or within a similar role, ideally within an aged care setting. You will possess a Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or equivalent and an in-depth knowledge of the IDDSI Framework, with experience implementing this into meal planning & preparation. You'll be a leader who is able to motivate a team of chefs, utilising your strong communication and interpersonal skills on a daily basis.
