Head Chef

Job Type: Permanent position | Full time positionJob DescriptionOur valued client The Rowers Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and creative Head Chef to join and run day-to-day kitchen operations, lead their kitchen team to produce excellent food and create exceptional dining experiences for customers. The role includes but is not limited to:Planning and designing menusCalculating/estimating food and labour costs, and liaising with suppliersDirecting kitchen operations and managing kitchen staff, including roster preparationOverseeing food preparation ensuring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentationDemonstrating techniques and advising on cooking proceduresPreparing and cooking foodEnsuring compliance with hygiene and health and safety regulations at all timesDelegating tasks and resolving issues as they ariseSelecting and training staffLiaising with the general manager to ensure operations run smoothlyTo be considered for this role, you must have the following:Proven experience in a lead role in a high-volume restaurant or bar settingStrong culinary and problem-solving skills while working independentlyExperience in preparation, planning, cost control, inventory management, and ordering suppliesLeadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staffExcellent communication and organisational skillsExcellent reporting skillsExcellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and practicesIf you meet the above criteria and would like to be considered for this position, please apply now!
