The bar and tavern is part of the Beachfront Hotel complex, offering 53 accommodation rooms, bottle shop and functions space.
Our passion is to be community centred where locals like to gather, whilst ensuring our guests and travellers to the area have place to make them feel at home and enjoy our quality food offering at The Long Boat Tavern.
We are excited to see where the next head chef can take us, someone who can take charge of the kitchen, bring energy and lead the kitchen team.
In this role, you will…
... prepare, serve and deliver amazing pub style meals.
... coach and training the kitchen team.
... organise kitchen stock takes, ordering, and working with head office and suppliers on stock delivery and quality.
... be all over seasonal pricing and know your menu costs.
Keeping track of COGS and wage costs.
... maintain a clean operation in accordance to food safety compliance
... work with the Venue Manager and Accommodation Duty Manager on menu's for functions and tour group bookings.
The right fit will…
... have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a kitchen management role
... need their Cert IV in Commercial Cookery and Food Safety Supervisors training.
.... Have a passion to serve great food.
... value having fun with your team whilst leading them in a busy service.
... be available for flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings.
