Your Impact We are looking for a hands-on, passionate, creative, and experienced Head Chef to inspire and lead the kitchen team of the Cascade Brewery Bar in South Hobart, Tasmania . You will play an integral role in the success of the venue as not only a place to enjoy our great beers but also a destination for extraordinary food.
Work within a small and passionate team to ensure flawless execution of the customer experience. Your team will produce quality food using fresh local ingredients enabling the venue to create memorable guest experiences and to facilitate bringing people together over our brilliant beers, outstanding food, and hospitality setting.
Full-time position working 38 hours p/week, rotating roster Mon-Sun with a requirement to complete reasonable overtime to fulfill managerial duties. Weekend and night shifts required. Key Responsibilities Engage, inspire, train and develop the kitchen brigade. Ensure the kitchen is a safe workplace, compliant with council regulations and internal policies and procedures Roster effectively to deliver high service standards within an allocated budget. Deliver a consistent product within allocated and agreed times for peak and off-peak services. Ensure same consistency is delivered in your absence from the kitchen. Follow all the HR procedures when recruiting, onboarding and performance managing staff members. Support the Venue Manager in other key function areas, activations and offers. About You Looking for an individual that is curious, bold, and resilient with a real passion for people, you will be empowered to lead real change and grow our venue. As the leader of our kitchen, you'll be a natural communicator, inspiring chef and a nurturing trainer who can engage with staff and colleagues and bring enjoyment & connection to all interactions.
Experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume a-la carte setting. Hold a Chef qualification with experience in classic pubs and European style of cooking. Demonstrated experience in training and developing staff. Ability to translate a food brief into a menu. Asahi Beverages is a leading multi-beverage organisation with a rich and varied history.
