We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team at our well-known venue in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast. You must be enthusiastic, highly motivated, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
The successful candidate will be offered a salary commensurate with experience, circa $100k - $110k plus superannuation plus the ability to earn up to $14k in incentives.
The Role We are seeking enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced Head Chef who possesses the ability to work autonomously to join our team at our flagship venue with total beachfront in Surfers Paradise.
As a fully qualified Head Chef , you will report into the Venue Manager and assume overall leadership and responsibility for the cost-effective management of the kitchen to maximise food profitability, whilst ensuring food safety standards and total guest satisfaction. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Leading the kitchen team in a hands-on manner, ensuring consistent food quality Maintaining food and wage costs in line with budgets Designing, costing and implementing innovative menus Ordering and Stock Control Preparing meals Maintaining current knowledge on food trends and competitors Setting, implementing and reviewing service standards to exceed guests expectations Total compliance for WHS, food safety, company and legislated policies Employee recruitment, training and development Maintaining safety & hygiene standards of the kitchen About you If you enjoy variety in your day and are passionate about food preparation and presentation as well as delivering quality dishes with a flair - then this is a role for you! To be successful in this position you will have:
Previous experience in a similar environment Tertiary Qualifications eg.
