Create Catering is in a significant growth phase, and we are looking for a Head Chef (Full - Time) to lead the restaurant and events culinary team at Pialligo Estate, working with our group executive chef to develop menus using produce grown on the estate.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE As a key member of our culinary team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Ordering: Efficiently manage the procurement of fresh and high-quality ingredients, ensuring a well-stocked kitchen at all times.Rostering: Collaborate with the venue managers to create effective staff schedules that meet business needs while considering employee preferences and availability, making sure employees do not work overtime.Stock Taking: Conduct regular inventory assessments to monitor stock levels, minimize wastage, and optimize ordering processes.Prepping: Skillfully prepare and present dishes according to our established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate.Maintaining Cleanliness: Uphold a pristine and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.Ensuring High Food Standards: Guarantee the quality and presentation of dishes meet or exceed our guests' expectations, maintaining the reputation of our establishment.Writing Weekly Specials: Collaborate with the group executive chef to create enticing weekly specials that showcase creativity and innovation in the kitchen.Budget Management: Work diligently to keep labour and food costs within established budget parameters, contributing to the financial success of the restaurant.Collaboration: Foster a positive working relationship with the venue manager and group executive chef, and staff, ensuring seamless communication and teamwork within the culinary department.Platforms: Experience in employment hero, Microsoft Office, Cooking the Books (in-house ordering system).Qualifications: Proven experience as a Chef in a similar dining setting.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Creative flair and passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.If you are a skilled Chef with a passion and a dedication to maintaining high standards, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
