As we are an artisanal bakery that is also large scale, we need an individual with strong organizational skills who can improve the space around them.
Someone whose ability to work in a flexible & dynamic environment will help us shape the next chapter of the business and how we deliver the best & freshest products to our customers.
Duties Responsible for daily baking operations, with the goal of creating the highest quality products possible with consistency across shifts.Lead, train, motivate and manage performance of a team of over 12 bakers and baker assistants to achieve their best performance and create development plans.Create and implement change to improve the quality of the product, team engagement, and improve the business.Develop and implement new recipes and seasonal offerings that align with our bakery's vision.Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients, maintaining cost-effective practices.Facilitate open communication within the team, encouraging collaboration and sharing of ideas including holding team meetings to discuss goals, updates, and any challenges faced.Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.About You Proven experience as a baker, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.Strong knowledge of traditional baking techniques and modern trends.Creativity and passion for baking, with a keen eye for detail.Natural curiosity and love for food.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.What's In It For You?
