Job Description We currently have five (5) vacancies for post-confirmation HDR candidates interested obtaining paid work experience as a Teaching Fellow in our Public Health discipline.
As these roles are integrated paid work experience opportunities for Griffith HDR students to work as a Teaching Fellow, the successful candidates they will be expected to participate in professional development with the aim of seeking recognition of their experience and skills through the Advance HE Professional Standards Framework.
Our successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to foster an outstanding student experience and encourage active participation and engagement in learning and teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs facilitating high quality, student-centred learning activities.
In doing so our successful candidates will contribute to enhancing the School's learning and teaching environment in support of an outstanding student experience.
These are part-time (0.2FTE, 20%) opportunities available in our Public Health discipline/programs.
Public Health – There is currently five part-time (0.2FTE) teaching-focussed roles available to support our Public Health programs.
The successful candidates will be expected to make contributions to the teaching effort of the University, particularly at the undergraduate level and to carry out activities to develop their skills as a teacher in higher education settings.
They will work with the support of an academic supervisor and will work during their period of employment to develop an increased degree of autonomy as capabilities allow.
These are fixed-term (two-years), part-time (0.20 FTE) positions based at the Gold Coast campus.
As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Griffith University's campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range The part-time equivalent base salary for a 20% FTE at Associate Lecturer (Level A) ranges from $15,606 - $20,987 per annum + 17% superannuation.
The total part-time package will range from $18,259 - $24,555 per annum.
Qualifications The successful candidates will: Be post-confirmation in a Griffith HDR program; and Have completed at least two trimesters of prior teaching.
