About the role
We are seeking HD Fitters to join our Thiess Western Region Maintenance hub located in Hazelmere, working a 7/7 roster rotating dayshift and nightshift. The Maintenance Hub is designed to support repairs and refurbish a variety of Mining Equipment and Components within Thiess and subsidiary internal Asset refurbishment requirements as well as external key Tier 1 mining customers. With a strong pipeline of machine refurbishments including major component changes on a fleet of CAT 793F's, this position also offers a great working atmosphere with potential to grow your career into any aspect of maintenance and asset management within the Thiess group.Your responsibilities will include: The disassembly, inspection and assembly of large-scale mobile mining equipment components in accordance with OEM maintenance system documentation & specifications Source technical information from relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems Maintaining the workshop area to a high standard of housekeeping & organisation Working within a dedicated team to deliver a high level of workmanship About you Trade Qualified Plant Mechanic (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment) or equivalent Valid WA Driver's License Sound experience in component rebuilds and machine overhauls Must be well organised, methodical and have an eye for detail A demonstrated commitment to safety, safe work practices & risk awareness What Thiess can do for you Permanent full-time positions Even time, lifestyle rosters Modern workshop facilities Thiess' commitment to training & development Range of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.
