About the opportunity We're looking for a Freight Handler / Yard Truck Driver to join our diverse and hard-working team.
With e-commerce booming, our freight handlers are the folks making sure consignments are correctly loaded so we can get deliveries out to our customers, fast.
Main duties including Freight Handling plus, as required, you'll be driving a manual transmission HC Yard Truck.
How we'll deliver for you Permanent full time position Monday to Friday 2.30pm - 10.30pm (overtime pre or post shift as required) $36.01ph = $30.65ph (base rate) + $5.36ph (17.5% PM shift loading) = Freight Handler duties $39.26ph = $33.41ph (base rate) + $5.85ph (17.5% shift allowance) = Higher duties when operating HC Yard Truck + 12% superannuation rate + Leave entitlements (eg.
Annual, Sick, Long service etc) + RDO Mandatory licence Heavy Combination licence ( HC ) Able to drive manual transmission HC Truck (assessment will be required) You'll be Using your strong work ethic to help us keep delivering great service Handloading parcels and cartons from conveyor belts into trucks, ready for our drivers to head out on the road Unloading trucks when drivers get back to the warehouse Wrapping freight by hand or using a shrink wrapper (you know - like the ones at the airport), electronically scanning parcels and updating documentation Driving Yard Truck as required About you You're fit and can lift at least 30kg – we assess this at a pre-employment medical check to help make sure you're safe on the job You're laser focused, even when the role gets repetitive You're a team player, passionate about helping our team keep the community connected You're also an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident If you've got a forklift licence that's a plus, since this comes handy moving freight around the warehouse How we'll deliver for you Work in a modern facility and benefit from competitive rates, diverse rosters and operate in a safe and inclusive working environment We invest in you for the long-term, encouraging growth through delivering on our values of trust, inclusivity, empowerment and safety Be part of a culture where everybody feels they belong, are valued, and can bring their authentic self to work every day We're delivering together At Australia Post, we acknowledge the Traditional?Custodians of the land on which we operate, live and gather as employees.
