HAZMAT / ASBESTOS Consultant - NewcastleThe company:
This niche, Newcastle based consulting business operatesin the areas of hazardous materials, occupational hygiene, industrial chemistry, contaminated land management, hazardous waste management, hazardous chemicals audits and training.

Requirement:
Due to continual work from returning key clients, an opportunity now exists for aHazmat Consultant / Licensed Asbestos Assessor (LAA) to join the team in a permanent, full-time role.

The role: HAZMAT and Asbestos inspections/surveysProvide asbestos assessment reports and recommendationsClearance inspections for friable & non-friable asbestos removal projectsTechnical report writing, scope of works development & technical advice.* - If desired, this role will also give you exposure to and training in wider ranging Occupational Hygiene and Contaminated Lands Environmental work. You will need to have NATA asbestos fibre counting experience and solid laboratory skills2+ years' experience carrying out Hazmat/Asbestos assessment, monitoring and reporting.Current Australian Driver's LicenseAble to travel to project sites as requiredSound written and oral communication skills with proven experience producing technical reports.Ability to work well independently when required as well in a team environment.Computer literate - Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting. Key responsibilities in the role will include the following: Conducting asbestos monitoring, including fibre count laboratory workHazardous Materials and Asbestos surveysProvide asbestos assessment reports and recommendationsClearance inspections of friable & non-friable asbestos removal workTechnical report writing, scope of works development & technical advice.On offer: Excellent salary package $$Exposure to a variety of projects.Working within a team-focused environmentEncouragement to expand your skill set into other areas of occupational hygiene and environmental work.Working for a privately owned business where you'll be working closely with the owner…who has a door that's always open.
