Your new company
You will be working with a Government Department as a Data Scientist in the Analytics Reform Branch. This branch is responsible for data and analysis to support evidence-based decisions and policies.
Your new role
As the Data Scientist, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of efficient, effective, and sustainable funding programs. You will provide data and analysis to support evidence-based decisions and policies, and design, develop, and implement a new program to replace a separate Commonwealth Programme.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you will need:

R (RStudio) Machine Learning (ML) Basic SQL skills working on Oracle DevOps - ability to use GIT will be a nice to have Data reporting using Excel and/or visualization tool (Power BI, Qlik) Statistical knowledge/ability to do machine learning modeling will be nice to have (including regression, dimension reduction, data distributions, etc.)
You must be an Australian citizen and will possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a (Baseline) personnel security clearance.

In return you will secure a competitive hourly rate with an initial contract to March 2025 with possible extension options.
