Your new company The Procurement and Contracts team ensures transparent, accountable procurements and value for money. We collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear procurement and contract management advice. Our responsibilities include managing procurement frameworks (policies, guidance, templates) and meeting mandatory legislative reporting obligations for the Portfolio.
Your new role Providing accurate advice on procurement, financial policy, and legislation. Offering procurement, tendering, and contracting advice and compliance reviews. Reviewing procurement documents and advising at key stages. Assisting with the procurement help desk. Handling complex and sensitive procurements. Advising on Finance Systems (Finance One and SAP). Engaging with stakeholders and managing relationships. Mentoring and training staff. Making defensible decisions based on professional judgement. What you'll need to succeed In-depth knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules, PGPA Act, Resource Management Guides, and related policies. Sound judgement and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to respond quickly in a time-sensitive environment. Certificate IV in Government Procurement (advantageous).
