EL1 Project Manager - Travel Cell Lead Your new company
We are partnering with a leading Federal Government Agency on a project that is at the forefront of change for the Australian public. You will be a part of a team that is working on projects enabling Australians in remote and very remote areas to vote in the upcoming election.
Your new role
As the Travel Cell Lead, you will need to work independently, under broad direction. Make decisions with best judgement and articulate the current workload of your team while explaining the team's obstacles. You may need to prepare and present briefings of up to 60 people at times, communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage situations of pressure calmly. You will lead a team of 7-10 people working on supporting and implementing travel requirements for remote voters.
What you'll need to succeed
A successful candidate is required to have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1, NV2, TSPV). Key duties and abilities for the role include but aren't limited to:

Direct the work of a team, ensuring high quality output and that the team maintain a high level of expertise. Ensure that staff have the required training and are compliant with all security and political neutrality requirements. Provide leadership to staff across several Divisional Offices, including setting expectations, addressing learning and development needs, distributing and managing workload, and ensuring accountability of team members and integrity in all outcomes and compliance with legislated requirements. Ensure good corporate governance practices are implemented and maintained in Divisional Offices and implement, monitor and evaluate compliance programs to ensure business activities are delivered in line with policy and procedures.
