Looking for Electricians to work on Cranes both in Mackay and in Bowen Basin. ASAP Start.
Your new company
Our client specialises in designing and manufacturing industrial cranes, including overhead, jib, hot metal and steel mill cranes. Our client also provides light mobile gantries, rail systems, wire rope and chain hoists, and various accessories. With manufacturing plants in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and Mackay, they have a strong presence in the Australian crane market. Their commitment to engineering excellence and innovation has made them a serious contender both nationally and internationally. They are currently looking for electricians to join their Mackay Team.
Your new role
Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades for overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
Develop and/or modify electrical panels and circuits.
Commission and test completed projects, along with associated electrical work.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues with overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in crane systems.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure projects meet specifications and timelines.
Keep detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Provide technical support and training to colleagues and clients as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
Electrical Licence
Current Open Driver's Licence
Working at Heights (desirable)
Coal Board Medical (desirable)
Be living locally in the Mackay Region
What you'll get in return
In this position, you will be offered work on a Monday to Friday basis, working between 8 - 12 hours per day. You can choose to either work in the Mackay Workshop or in Field Service in the Bowen Basin. You will be paid an attractive hourly rate, with super paid at all hours. You will also be offered a service vehicle, meals & accommodation if you do any field service work. This role is full time for the right person.
