Your New Role
We are seeking to fill various Finance Business Partner vacancies at APS6 level, and in this position your key responsibilities will include preparing timely financial reports, providing high-quality strategic financial advice and support to stakeholders, developing and coordinating budgets and forecasts, assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, and assisting with the agency's asset management and statutory tax function.
Key responsibilities:
Preparing timely financial reports, with value-added analysis that allows internal stakeholders to make informed decisions. Meet with stakeholders to provide high quality strategic financial advice and support. Developing and coordinating budgets and forecasts for internal stakeholders. Assist with preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. Assist with monthly reporting activities including reconciliations and journal entering. Assist with the Agency's asset management and statutory tax function. What You'll Need to Succeed
We are seeking individuals with strong leadership skills, well-developed organisational skills, and a sound analytical ability. You should have demonstrated experience working in financials, spreadsheets, and financial applications/software. Being a team player with strong oral and written communication skills is essential. You should have the ability to foster relationships in order to deliver high-quality advice and support to stakeholders that may include senior executives.
Sound knowledge of legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks, government decision-making processes, and agency guidelines and regulations is required. Relevant experience in government financial processes will be highly regarded. Desirable qualifications include sound knowledge of the Australian Government financial framework, principles, policies and practices, an accounting or other relevant degree or qualifications, and professional memberships such as CPA or CA.
Please note: to be eligible for this role you must be an Australian Citizen & currently hold a Baseline clearance or above.
