Location: Darwin preferred, but applicants from other states must be able to commit to regular travel (minimum once a month)
Duration: 12 Months (Full-time contractor)
Daily rate: Around $1100 per day, including Superannuation
Start Date: January 2025
Reports to: Stream Lead

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our client's Works Management project team. This role is pivotal in supporting the Stream Lead in developing and executing the project plan, delivering initiatives, and establishing the strategic asset management team. The Senior Business Analyst will lead the cohesive delivery of workstreams, ensuring consistency and quality in approach and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, analyse, and document business processes, systems, and functional requirements to facilitate improvements and support efficient delivery of business operations. Manage the development, facilitation, coordination, and communication of initiatives and strategies using best practice methodologies. Liaise with internal customers and stakeholders to review and monitor the effectiveness of tools, systems, methods, and standards. Influence and negotiate with stakeholders to obtain consensus for change initiatives. Gather, analyse, and translate business data into meaningful insights to support informed decision-making. Manage and coordinate planning and processes to ensure all critical business functionality is tested and delivered. Conduct stakeholder discovery sessions to map accountabilities and processes. Produce high-quality documentation, including process maps, process documents, user support materials, and presentations. Work with the Change Manager and Implementation Lead to support new process walkthroughs, change impact assessments, and training requirements. Support the development and implementation of business transition plans and capability uplift.
Key Requirements
Strong background in strategic asset management. Ability to guide BAs in asset management optimisation. Experience in business transformation processes to enable future state operations. Proficiency in data and systems, stakeholder engagement, capturing analysis, and end-to-end BA processes. Exceptional stakeholder management skills and ability to rapidly develop rapport with stakeholder groups. The ability to facilitate stakeholder workshops for discovery and process mapping. The ability to work autonomously and manage workload and priorities to meet deadlines. Experience of guiding and mentoring business analysts with respect to a consistent delivery approach and artifact creation.
