Hatchery Maintenance Manager (Electrician)

Darwalla is a growing and progressive integrated poultry producer. We are seeking a passionate, experienced and qualified electrician to manage the maintenance of our world-class chicken hatchery. Commissioned in February 2018, our hatchery comprises specialty hatchery equipment and robotic automation.
In this permanent full-time role, you will be responsible for the preventative and unscheduled maintenance of the entire facility. The successful candidate must be a licensed electrician with PLC experience. Previous experience with the following will be highly valued:

Water pumps
Reverse osmosis water systems
Air conditioning systems
Boilers
Chillers
Generators
Automation/robotics

You will need to be hands-on and hardworking with attention to detail. You must be willing to learn specialist hatchery equipment.
You will work closely with the Hatchery Manager and Incubations, as well as managing a Maintenance team, so your communication and people skills will be excellent. Ideally, you will have experience with maintenance software such as MEX, but at a minimum, you will require good computer skills. A forklift licence would be advantageous.
Our chickens are a precious commodity, so you will need to meet strict bio-security requirements, where all employees are restricted from keeping any birds, poultry or pigs at their premises. You will be required to shower-in and shower-out of our facility, and uniforms are provided.
The hours are generally Monday to Saturday, 4-5 days per week, 38 hours per week. However, flexibility is required to meet the needs of the hatchery.
This will be a salary-based position of $135,000 per year.
